Search Osceola County Inmate Records

Osceola County inmate records start with the county jail roster, a free public tool that lists people in current Corrections custody. You can look up Osceola County inmates online, read a booking profile, and learn how to visit, write, or send money. The same records explain who the roster does not show. A pretrial detainee sits in the county jail, while a sentenced felon moves to state prison and a separate locator. Knowing which system holds a person is the difference between a fast answer and a dead end. The pages here walk through the Osceola County jail roster search, the booking record fields, and every backup channel when the roster comes up short.

Osceola County Jail Roster Overview

The Osceola County Inmate Search is the official roster. It is hosted on the county apps site and run by the Osceola County Corrections Department, not a private vendor and not the Sheriff. The page says it lists people held in the Osceola County Jail, that listing does not mean guilt, and that it updates several times a day. When a person is released, the next update removes them. A footnote adds that the count covers everyone in Corrections custody, including people housed elsewhere.

The roster has limits worth knowing up front. It does not list sentenced state prisoners, federal inmates, or immigration detainees. A person who was sentenced and shipped to prison belongs in the Florida Department of Corrections locator. Federal custody is in the Bureau of Prisons locator, and immigration holds are in the ICE detainee locator. The county roster is the right tool only for current local custody.

How to Use the Osceola County Inmate Roster

The roster keeps things simple. There is one search box and a sortable result table. You need a name to start, or an ID or booking number from another document if you have one.

  1. Open the Osceola County Inmate Search portal in any browser.
  2. Type a name into the box labeled Search Inmates, then click Search. The tool has no separate first-name or last-name field.
  3. Sort the results by the Photo, ID, First, Middle, or Last columns to narrow a common name.
  4. Click the name, ID, or mugshot to open the public rap sheet with charges, statute, bond, and a reference number.

The search box also rides along on the daily report and detail pages, so you can jump from one record to another without returning to the main roster.

Osceola County Roster Search Fields

The portal exposes one term box and a few sortable columns. It does not offer filters for date of birth, booking date, housing unit, charge type, or release status, so build your search around a name plus a second identifier. The fields are listed below.

What an Osceola County Inmate Profile Shows

The detail page, which the portal calls a rap sheet, shows the booking photo, identifiers, and a charge table. A sample profile reviewed on June 3, 2026 carried the fields below. Two labels, DSP Date and JSTAT, are not defined on the page, so treat them as visible status and date fields and confirm their meaning with Records or the Clerk.

That sample, drawn from the county's public detail page, lines up with the field table below.

FieldWhat It Shows
Inmate IDLocal Corrections number used in the profile and image URLs.
BookingBooking number, shown as eight digits with a year-like prefix.
DemographicsRace, sex, date of birth, height, weight, hair, and eyes for disambiguation.
StatuteFlorida statute number and a short charge description.
BondA per-charge amount, with a Total Bond figure below the table.
ReferenceA court case number, the bridge to the Clerk's case search.

The booking number is not the court case number. The Reference field is the better clue for a case. Booking photos and how they work are covered on the Osceola County jail mugshots page.

Finding County, State, and Federal Inmates

Four custody systems hold four different groups, and each has its own search. The county roster covers pretrial and short-sentence inmates. Sentenced felons move to the Florida Department of Corrections. Federal inmates are in the Bureau of Prisons, and immigration detainees are in ICE custody. Sending a county search after a state prisoner is a common error, so the table below maps each one.

For custody-change alerts on a Florida case, VINELink Florida works as a notification service rather than a one-time lookup.

Recent Bookings on the Daily Arrest Report

The Daily Arrest Report is the best public view of recent bookings. It is labeled by date, such as arrests for a given day, and it counts arrests leading to incarceration, which is narrower than every citation or notice to appear. On June 2, 2026 it listed 122 arrests leading to incarceration. The report carries a printable view, an Excel download, and a date dropdown that showed about a month of recent dates during research.

Each row shows personal information, the arresting agency, and the statute. The personal block holds the name, mugshot, arrest number, birthdate, and booking number. Agency codes appear without a legend, so OCSO is the Sheriff's Office, while other codes should not be guessed. Each entry links to the same detail page used by the live roster, so you can move from a daily booking to a full rap sheet. Bond totals are not in the list view, so open a profile to see the charge table and total bond.

Common Osceola County Roster Search Problems

A few snags trip up roster searches more than any others. The single search box has no date-of-birth field, so a common last name can return many rows. Knowing what can go wrong helps you switch tactics instead of giving up.

  • A common name returns a long list, so add a middle name or an ID from another document.
  • A missing result can mean a spelling mismatch, not a release.
  • The count includes people in custody but housed elsewhere, so a person may be listed without sitting at 402 Simpson Road.
  • A released person drops off at the next update, so absence is not proof someone was never held.
  • A sentenced felon will not appear here at all, since they move to the state locator.

When the roster cannot settle a question, call the Records line at 407-742-4411 or Bonds and Dockets at 407-742-4404 rather than relying on a hidden advanced search, because none exists.

Roster Terms to Know

A rap sheet and a daily report use shorthand that the county does not always define. A short glossary makes a profile easier to read.

Booking number
The jail intake number for a specific booking, shown as eight digits with a year-like prefix.
Inmate ID
The local Corrections identifier used in the profile and image URLs; it is not the state DC number.
Reference
A court case number tied to a charge, the best bridge to the Clerk's case search.
Total Bond
The sum of the per-charge bond amounts, shown below the charge table.
Detainer
A hold placed by another agency that can keep a person in custody even after a local bond.

Booking Process in Osceola County

A person arrested by the Sheriff's Office, Kissimmee Police, St. Cloud Police, or another agency can be booked into Osceola County Corrections custody. Intake creates a booking number and a local inmate ID. Staff record demographics, take a mugshot, and enter the charge and statute rows. The Daily Arrest Report lists arrests leading to incarceration by date, with booking numbers, agencies, mugshots, and statutes, then links each entry to the same detail page.

After intake comes classification, which assigns custody level and housing, and an initial medical screening. Initial appearances are generally scheduled Monday through Friday at 1:30 p.m. and on weekends and holidays at 10:30 a.m.; verify the exact docket with the Clerk. A booking appears on the roster after it is processed, so a very recent arrest may show on the daily report before the live search.

Visitation Hours and Rules

Visits at the Osceola County jail are video visits, scheduled in advance through a lobby kiosk or the ICSolutions service. There are no face-to-face contact visits. Visitors schedule first, arrive and sign in 15 minutes early with valid photo ID, store property in a locker, and may be searched. The visitation window runs seven days a week, as shown below.

Monday8:30 a.m. - 7:45 p.m.Video (scheduled)

How to Contact an Osceola County Inmate

Regular postal mail goes to a Smart Communications address, not the jail. It is addressed to Smart Communications, Osceola County Corrections, the inmate name and ID, P.O. Box 9127, Seminole, FL 33775-9127, and it is scanned for viewing on a kiosk or tablet. Legal mail, court documents, bank statements, and publications go directly to 402 Simpson Road. Books must come from the publisher or an approved seller, and the county states that books from Amazon will not be delivered. Phone service runs through ICSolutions, and inmate email is handled through the Smart Communications portal.

Commissary and Inmate Funds

Money for an inmate account goes through Access Corrections, by online deposit, phone, or the cash-only lobby kiosk. Online and phone deposits carry a tiered fee, and credit or debit deposits can take 24 to 48 hours to post. Inmates can shop commissary twice a week. iCare food packages are ordered through a separate vendor. If the roster does not answer a question, the full backup chain is the jail Records line at 407-742-4411, the main jail at 407-742-4444, an in-person visit, and a public-information request through the county's Jail Record Requests page and JustFOIA portal. For custody-change alerts rather than a one-time check, VINELink Florida sends notifications when a status changes. Federal and immigration custody use the BOP and ICE locators, which the county roster never covers.

Note: Confirm a person is still in custody before you send money or schedule a visit, since the roster removes released inmates at the next update.
